A Morphological Study on the Elastic Fibers of the Artery Wall of Rats Using the angelicae gigas Nakai Extract Administration

Moon Chung-Sock
Abstract
The results of this morphological study on the elastic fibers of the artery wall of rats ising the Angelicae gigas Nakai extract administaton were as follows :
1. Highest development in elastic fibers was observed in the thoracic aorta and abdominal aorta in the media.
2. Highest development in elastic fibers was in the ¥° st Group (fat 5Ogm£«extract 100gm) of the Fat 1 Group and the 3rd Group fat 34gm£«extract 600gm) ofthe Fat ¥± Group.
3. Lower development in elastic fibers was observed in the High-Fat Diet Group.
4. It is belived that there was an increase in arteries wall function in Rats which recerved the Angelicae gigas Nakai extract administration.
5. The elastic fiber in order on size (development) was ¥°>¥±>¥²> Control Group in the Fat ¥° Group, and ¥²>¥°>¥± Control Group in the Fat ¥± Group.
6. Lower development in elastic fibers was observed in the Control Group of both groups.
